The foul can only occur when the stick is brought to the fully in position (see image below). The foul condition usually produces a witness mark on the e-stick inner section and may also deform the plate.
If this situation occurs, use the attached rework procedure to provide relief for the cylinder rod during operation.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1.Position the machine as shown in Figure 1.1.1.

2.Remove the stick cylinder rod mounting pin circlip and withdraw the mounting pin. Note the postion of any shims on either side of the rod eye.
3.Using the machine hydraulics, retract the stick cylinder rod while supporting the cylinder as shown in Figure 1.2.1.

4.Using the dimensions shown in Figure 1.3.1, mark out the section of material to be removed.

5.Protect the internal areas of the E-stick as shown in Figure 1.4.1.
6.Using the dealers preferred method, cut away the marked out area.
7.Once all necessary material has been removed, dress the area to remove any sharp edges and prepare the area for painting.

8.Repaint the affected area.
9.Re-connect the stick cylinder rod. Ensure any shims removed during disassembly are replaced as these prevent rattle during operation.
10.Raise the backhoe arm and remove the inspection plate at the end of the e-stick (Figure 1.5.1). Clean out any material which may have fallen down inside the structure. Replace the inspection plate when finished.
11.Check machine operation to ensure sufficient clearance has been introduced.
