A raised body (bed) may fall unexpectedly and without warning resulting in personal injury or death.When it is necessary to work under the truck with the body (bed) raised, install the body (bed) retaining pin through the pin bores in the frame and the retaining brackets on the body.
Whenever possible, lower the dump body to the frame when parking or performing any type of service. Install the body support if the machine must be parked with the dump body raised, or whenever performing any service that requires the dump body to be in the raised position.Park the machine on a level surface. Move the transmission control to the Park position. Lower the body and move the hoist control to the HOLD position.Install the steering frame locks before entering the area around the oscillating hitch. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock" for information on the installation of the steering frame lock.Perform the following procedure in order to install the body retaining pin.Note: The body must be empty before the body support is installed. Do not walk behind a raised body because material could fall out.
Raise the body fully and then move the hoist control to the HOLD position. Shut off the engine. Ensure that body and rear frame holes are aligned.

The body support pin (1) is located on the rear left side of the body. Release the securing pin and remove the body support pin from storage position.
Insert the body support pin into the hole (2) and locate securing pin.
Remove body support pin and place back into storage location before attempting to lower body.Allow only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine. Also, all personnel should be visible to the operator.
