1059 PS50344 This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS50344" as the Part number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Attach. (1-Rework Procedure)
Rework Procedure
Remove exhaust heat shield section surrounding the balance tube.
Remove the 4 x 9L7373 Bolts, 4 x 3E6916 Nuts, and 8 x 8C8491 Washers that retain the old balance tube components.
Remove the 2 x 1419286 Adapters, 1 x 1419287 Tube, and 2 x 1230319 Seal O-rings.
Clean the sealing surfaces of the exhaust manifold mating surfaces.
Install new 1230319 Seal O-rings.
Install new 1842442 Bellow As.
Install new 9L7373 Bolts, 3E6916 Nuts, and 8C8491 Washers.
Start the engine and inspect joints to ensure there are no exhaust leaks.
Shut down the engine and install the exhaust heat shield that was removed earlier.
