This Program must be administered as soon as possible.When reporting the repair, use "PI31156" as the Part Number and "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Codeand "T" as the SIMS Description code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI31156" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number,"96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

If the package is equipped with a 252-7342 breaker panel gp, replace 252-7450 support with a 296-5554 support. Replace 252-7596 support with a 296-5555 support. The new supports have counter bored holes too allow for correct thread engagement.

MODELS INVOLVED - Certain C32 and 3500 Generator Sets
Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
Existing supports for the P-frame circuit breaker are too thick and prevent proper thread engagement on the nuts. New supports with counter bored holes need to be installed on the products listed below. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 28Sep2006 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
Refer to SEBU8088 Operation and Maintenance Manual and the following instructions:
1. On packages with rear extension boxes use a lift cart or some other means to support the circuit breaker from the bottom before replacing supports.

2. Remove mounting bolts from bottom support (252-7596) and bottom mounting screws on circuit breaker.
3. Install new bottom support (296-5555) and connect with original mounting bolts and washers.
4. Re-install bottom circuit breaker mounting screws with original hardware.
5. Remove ladder clip and mounting bolt from top support (252-7450).
