PINION 0827997 - Caterpillar

1. Remove twelve bolts (2) and the washers that hold seat assembly (1) in position. Using two persons, remove the seat assembly. The weight of the seat assembly is approximately 68 kg (150 lb). 2. Remove six bolts (4) and the washers that hold access door (3) in position. Remove the access door from inside the cab.
View Through Opening In Cab Floor3. Disconnect hydraulic oil hoses (5) as necessary to gain access to the transmission neutralizer group. 4. Remove screw (6), and remove plate (7). Remove tube assembly (8) from the transmission neutralizer group. 5. Disconnect wire assembly (9) from the transmission neutralizer group.6. Remove bolts (11) that hold the transmission neutralizer group to the transmission.7. Disconnect rod end (10) of the transmission neutralizer group from the spool inside transmission case (16).8. Remove rod end (13) from cam (15). Remove locknut (14) from rod end (13).9. Remove nut (12) from the cable assembly, and remove transmission neutralizer group (17). The following steps are for the installation of the transmission neutralizer group.10. Put the cable assembly in position in transmission neutralizer group (17). Install nut (12).11. Install rod end (13) on cam (15) with locknut (14) in position as shown.12. For the adjustment procedure of the cam assembly, see "Transmission Control Linkage Adjustments" in the 950F Wheel Loader Power Shift Transmission Testing & Adjusting module, Form No. SENR4925.13. Tighten locknut (14) to a torque of 8 5 N m (6 4 lb ft).14. Connect rod end (10) of the transmission neutralizer group to the spool inside transmission case (16).15. Install bolts (11) that hold the transmission neutralizer group to the transmission.16. Connect wire assembly (9) to the transmission neutralizer group.17. Reinstall tube assembly (8). Put the gasket and plate (7) in position on the transmission neutralizer group. Install screws (6) that hold it.18. Check the condition of the o-ring seals used in the ends of hydraulic hoses (5). If the seals are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Connect all hydraulic hoses (5).19. Reinstall access door (3) in the cab.20. Reinstall seat assembly (1) in the cab.Disassemble & Assemble Transmission Neutralizer Group
Start By:a. remove transmission neutralizer group 1. Remove two bolts (1), and remove the spring and lever assembly (2).2. Remove the retainer ring and pin from lever assembly (2) to separate the levers.3. Remove bolts (4), and remove housing (5) and plate (3). Remove the o-ring seal on each side of plate (3). 4. Loosen locknut (7), and remove cam (6) from rod (8). Remove rod (8) from the housing.5. Remove screws (9) from each switch. Remove two switches (10) and the wiring harness from the housing as a unit.6. Disconnect the wires from switches (10). Put identification marks on the wires so they will not be mixed at assembly. Remove switches (10) from the wiring harness. 7. Remove piston (12) from housing (5). Remove seal (11) from piston (12).
