Information:
Location of drive stud in arm of shaft and pivot assembly for new wiper group.For maximum application of common parts, the new spacer and gasket used for the upper wiper shaft are also used for the shafts of the lower wipers. It is not necessary to install the new parts on the lower wipers during conversion of the upper wiper on earlier machines.
Adaptable As: Direct replacement when the necessary parts are used together. Since the only difference between the new and former wiper groups is the location of the drive stud for the blade arm, a conversion can easily be made. To change a former group to a new group, remove the drive stud and install it in the location shown. This changes the linkage ratio so the blade arc will be shorter, with less load on the motor. After conversion, use the new bolts, with one spacer and one gasket to install the motor, then install the new wiper arm.
