The machine must be on a level, hard surface before a separation of the track is made. Any time a separation of both tracks is made, the machine must have blocks correctly positioned so the machine will not move.
Note: If you are removing the track start with Step 1. If you are not removing the track start with Step 2.
Use Tooling (A) and raise the appropriate side of the machine. Support the machine with Tooling (B) and remove Tooling (A).
Loosen the track. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".

Align the master link with the centerline of rear idler (3). Position wood blocks under the grouser below master shoe (4), as shown.

Install a chain through track link (5). Attach a suitable lifting device onto the chain.

Remove bolts (6) and master shoe (4).

Turn the final drive in a forward direction and permit the track to walk forward while the track is supported by the lifting device.
The track can now be removed from the machine. The weight of the track is approximately 758 kg (1670 lb).
