A long term storage and recovery procedure is now available for the engines that are listed above. The new procedure describes the methods and materials that are used in order to provide the long term storage and the removal from storage of diesel engines. These procedures should be applied to engines that will be stored for a maximum of two years in a protected environment with the intent of later installation in Caterpillar and OEM machines.
