Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Connect hoses (7) and (8) to the ripper lift cylinder on the right side. The longer hose connects to the rod end of the lift cylinder.
Connect hoses (6) and (8) to the ripper lift cylinder on the left side of the ripper frame.
Use these components to connect hose (8) to the rod end of lift cylinder (16) on the right side of the machine: O-ring seal (4), two flanges, four washers, two bolts and shield (9) with two bolts (12). Install these components on hose (8) : grommet (14), two shields (11) and two hose clamps (13) .Note: The parts that are not numbered are components of the lift cylinders.
Repeat Step 3 with shield (10) on lift cylinder (16) on the left side of the machine.
Use these components to connect hoses (6) and (7) to the head ends of lift cylinders (16) : two O-ring seals (4), four flanges, eight washers and eight bolts.

Use these components to connect hoses (6), (7), and (8) to the ripper diverter valve: four O-ring seals (5), eight flanges, 16 washers and 16 bolts.
Connect hoses (1) and (2) to the ripper tilt cylinder on the right side of the machine. The shorter hose connects to the head end of the tilt cylinder.
Connect hoses (1) and (3) to the ripper tilt cylinder on the left side of the machine.

Use these components to connect hose (2) to the rod end of tilt cylinder (18) on the right side of the machine: O-ring seal (4), two flanges, four washers, two bolts and shield (9) with two bolts (12). Install these components on hose (2) : grommet (14), two shields (11) and two hose clamps (13) .Note: The parts that are not numbered are components of the tilt cylinders.
Repeat Step 9 with shield (10) on tilt cylinder (17) on the left side of the machine.
Use these components to connect hoses (1) to the head ends of tilt cylinders (17) and (18) : two O-ring seals (5), four flanges, four bolts, eight washers, two shields (15) and four bolts (12). Install these components on hoses (1) : two grommets (14), four shields (11) and four hose clamps (13) .
