Ladder Not Stowed and Operator Switch is OffRed = Circuit is at system voltageBlack = Circuit is at system groundGray = Circuit is not energized and/or is unaffectedIllustration 15 shows the power in the ladder system with the ladder in the down, not stowed position. The operator Ladder Switch is in the "Off" position. All relays are at rest, and output driver signal of the proximity switch is not grounded.Ladder is Stowed and Switch is Toggled Up

Ladder is Stowed and Operator Switch is Toggled UpRed = Circuit is at system voltageBlack = Circuit is at system groundGray = Circuit is not energized and/or is unaffectedIllustration 16 shows the power in the ladder system with the ladder in the stowed position and the proximity sensor is grounded. When the operator Ladder Switch is in toggled "Up", V+ is available to the Extend Latch control, engaging the latch pins. Power to the Ladder Raise Solenoid is removed. This control sequence is as follows:Ladder Operator Switch is toggled Up, V+ battery voltage from (fuse) wire 117-RD powers wire C709-WH. Wire C709-WH energizes the Ladder Raise Relay. The Actuator Enable Relay is energized by wire 117-RD and switches V+ to wire E562-PU. The energized Ladder Raise Relay switches wire E562-PU to wire C797-YL which applies V+ to the Extend - Latch command on the Actuator Controller.Wire 117-RD also energizes the Raise Solenoid Cutout Relay, which switches off wire C709-WH from C756-BU, cutting power to the Ladder Raise Solenoid.Ladder is Stowed, Latch is Engaged, and Switch is Toggled Down
Illustration 17 g03516957
Ladder is Stowed, Latch is Engaged, and Operator Switch is Toggled DownRed = Circuit is at system voltageBlack = Circuit is at system groundGray = Circuit is not energized and/or is unaffectedIllustration 17 shows the system when the operator Ladder Switch is toggled "Down". Because the ladder is stowed, the proximity switch output driver signal is grounded. The Ladder Lower Relay and Ladder Raise Relay coils are energized, which controls the polarity of the latch motor to pull the latch pins. This state also inhibits the Ladder Lower Solenoid from being engaged until the latch pins have been released from the ladder. This control sequence is as follows:Ladder Operator Switch is toggled Down, V+ battery voltage from (fuse) wire 117-RD powers wire C708-PU. Wire C708-PU energizes the Ladder Lower Relay. The energized Ladder Lower Relay switches V+ to wire C798-GN. which applies V+ to the Retract - Unlatch command on the Actuator Controller. As long as the Actuator Controller does not see that the lock is fully unlatched (looking at internal limit switch), the controller keeps energizing the Control Relay output, wire E552-GN. Wire E552-GN energizes the Lower Solenoid Disable Relay (Latch Actuator) which switches the power Off from
