1. Install the end caps and bolts. Do not tighten the bolts.2. Put a .015 in. (.38 mm) thick shim under one end of the cap (between the cap and support).3. Tighten the bolt on the end with the shim to a torque of 300 37 lb. ft. (400 50 N m). Do this for each cap.4. Tighten the other bolt to a torque of 300 37 lb. ft. (400 50 N m). Tighten the bolts 240° 5° more.5. Remove the shim and tighten the bolt 60° 5° more.
