Reposition moldboard face down on stands and preheat weld joints.
Complete the weld passes.
Ensure that location (1) finished weld size is 12 mm (0.47 inch) fillet with 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) penetration.
Ensure that location (2) finished weld size is 25 mm (0.98 inch) bevel, two places.
Ensure that location (3) finished weld size is 12 mm (0.47 inch) fillet over 12 mm (0.47 inch) bevel.
Utilize back-step weld method with 203.2 mm (8 inch) to 254.0 mm (10 inch) weld lengths.
Start at ends and work inwards towards the center, alternating LH to RH. Grind start and stop points to ensure complete fusion.
Complete vertical welds at locations (13), (14), (15), and (16).
Utilize root pass only, back-step weld method 152.4 mm (6 inch) to 203.2 mm (8 inch) weld lengths.
Start at ends and work inwards towards the center, alternating LH to RH.
Grind start and stop points to ensure complete fusion.
Complete weld pass at locations (4) through (12) in sequence shown in Illustrations 16 and 17. Utilize back-step weld method 203.2 mm (8 inch) to 254.0 mm (10 inch) weld lengths. Start at ends and work inwards towards the center, alternating LH to RH. Grind start and stop points to ensure complete fusion.
Finish vertical welds at locations (13), (14), (15), and (16).
Ensure that the finish weld size is 25 mm (0.98 inch).
Utilize v-groove, back-step weld method 152.4 mm (6 inch) to 203.2 mm (8 inch) weld lengths.
Start at ends and work inwards towards the center, alternating LH to RH.
Grind start and stop points to ensure complete fusion.

Clean welds at RH end of moldboard.
Position bracket assembly (A), removed in Step 1 of "Moldboard Rails Replacement Procedure", using the dimensions shown in Illustration 18. Tack weld in place .
Weld bracket assembly (A) at location (1) in two places, three passes ( 12 mm (0.47 inch) fillet.
Preheat weld joint to 204.4° C (400° F).
Weld bracket assembly (A) at location (2) in two places, four passes ( 16 mm (0.63 inch) fillet.
Clean all welds. Inspect and repair as needed.
Check for straightness.
