Information:
1. Remove oil from the hydraulic tank. 2. Put identification on all oil lines as to their location on the control valve. Disconnect oil lines (1), (2), (3) (4) from the rear of the control valve. Put plastic caps on control valve openings. 3. Disconnect eight oil lines (5) from the front of the control valve. Install tooling (A). 4. Remove the cotter pins and pins (6) from the control valve linkage.5. Remove three mounting bolts (7), (8) and (9) from valve body. Use two men to remove valve body from vehicle. Weight of unit is 85 lb. (39 kg).6. The following steps are for the installation procedure. 7. Use two men to put the control valve in position on the frame. Install the three bolts (7), (8) and (9) that hold it.8. Put rod assemblies in position on the control valve. Install the pins (6) that hold them. Install the cotter pins in the pins.9. Connect oil lines (5) to their correct location on the front of the control valve.10. Connect oil lines (1), (2), (3) and (4) to their correct location on the rear of the control valve.11. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.Disassemble Control Valves
start by: a) remove control valves 1. Loosen bolts (6). Remove manifold (5) and valve body (7).2. Remove bolts (3). Remove lever (4) from the body.3. Remove bolts (2) and lock (1) from the valve. Remove the plug that is under the lock. 4. Remove stem (11) from body (7). Remove retainer (8), spring (10) and retainer (9) from stem (11). 5. Remove plug (15), spring (13) and ball (12) from body (7). Remove seat (14) from the body.6. Remove plug (17). Make sure the shims and spacers (18) do not fall from plug (17). Remove spring (19) from the body. 7. Remove the bolts and cover (20) from body (7).8. Remove sleeve (16) and spool (21) from the body.9. Do Steps 2 through 8 for the other valves.Assemble Control Valves
1. Inspect the O-ring seals. Replace the O-ring seals if necessary. 2. Put sleeve (2) in position in body (1). Put spool (8) in position in body (1).3. Put cover (3) in position on body (1). Install the bolts that hold the cover to the body.4. Install spring (7) and plug (6) with the necessary shims and spacers. See VALVE FOR FLOW CONTROL in TESTING AND ADJUSTING. Tighten plug (6) to a torque of 35 5 lb.ft. (45 7 N m).5. Clean the screen in seat (4). Install seat (4) in body (1). Tighten seat (4) to a torque of 12 2 lb.ft. (17 3 N m). Put ball (5) in position in seat (4). Install spring (9) and plug (10). 6. Install retainer (15) on stem (11). Put spring (12) in position on retainer (15) over the stem. Install retainer (16) that holds spring (12). Make sure the opening in retainer (16) is in alignment with the hole in stem (11). Put
