New fuel pump (1) Side 1 (2) Side 2The new 379-0150 Fuel Pump Gp replaces the 375-5244 Fuel Injection Pump Gp. The new fuel pump incorporates a change in pump timing to allow for primary pumping to take place on side 2 (2) of the fuel pump. Refer to Illustration 1.The change to the new fuel pump is effective at the engine assembly plant with engine serial numbers MME05037-UP. The new fuel pump is adaptable back to the first production of the listed engines. After the 379-0150 Fuel Pump Gp has been installed, flash the software part numbers listed in Table 1 into the engine. Flashing in the new software ensures that the engine will operate correctly. If a newer version of the software is available at the time of fuel pump installation, flash the newest version.
