Installation Instructions for Machines That Operate in Environments That Can Allow Debris to Accumulate in the Undercarriage
Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location. Move the machine away from other operating machines and away from personnel.
Engage the parking brake.
Release hydraulic system pressure.
Cut 160-2247 Abrasion Sleeve (1) into two 50 cm (19.69 inch) pieces.
Remove the 178-3620 Strap (A). Unbolt the cover assembly (B) .

Remove the 7K-1181 Cable Strap that attaches the 258-4158 Sensor Harness As (E) to the 258-3961 Hose As (C) near the electrical connector. Disconnect the 258-3961 Hose As and the 258-4158 Sensor Harness As at the drive motor.

Install 9X-2092 Edge Trim (4) to the opening of the cover assembly (B) .

Slide the 160-2247 Abrasion Sleeve (1) over the 258-3961 Hose As (C) and the 258-4158 Sensor Harness As .
Reattach the 258-3961 Hose As (C) and the 258-4158 Sensor Harness As (E). Secure the harness assembly to the hose assembly with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (3) .
Attach the abrasion sleeve at the upper end of the hose coupling near the drive motor with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (3) .
Attach the abrasion sleeve at the lower end of the hose away from the drive motor with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (3) .
Repeat the procedure on the other side of the machine.Note: The left side of the machine uses the 258-3962 Hose As .
Make sure that the 160-2247 Abrasion Sleeve end extends inside cover assembly (B). Reattach the cover assembly.Installation Instructions for Machines That Operate in Abrasive Materials

Unbolt the cover assembly (B) on the right side of the machine.

Install 9X-2092 Edge Trim (4) to the opening of the cover assembly (B) .
Slide the 206-2724 Guard (2) over the hose.
Attach the hose guard at the upper end of the hose coupling near the drive motor with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (3) .
Attach the hose guard at the lower end of the hose away from the drive motor with a 7K-1181 Cable Strap (3) .

Make sure that the 160-2247 Abrasion Sleeve (1) and the 206-2724 Guard (2) ends extend inside cover assembly (B). Reattach the cover assembly.
Repeat the procedure on the other side of the machine.Note: The left side of the machine uses the 258-3962 Hose As .
Move the machine to a smooth, horizontal location. Move the machine away from other operating machines and away from personnel.
