Some areas require an inspection of the Access Platform at every six months.Note: Inspection intervals may vary from one country to another country. Check with the local laws.The inspection must cover the functionality of all controls and switches. The inspection must cover any damage to the structure, any damage to the controls, any damage to the welds, and any damage to the safety components. The inspection must cover any wear to all components that move. The inspections must be recorded in the maintenance log that is provided in this manual.In order to help minimize unexpected, costly repairs and downtime, inspections need to be carried out on a regular basis. The interval between the inspections depends on the requirements of the Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Maintenance Interval Schedule", the age of the platform and the severity of the operating conditions. More frequent inspections will be required of older platforms and platforms that are used in particularly severe operating conditions.Early detection and repair of faults will ensure continued operation of the platform. Also, early detection and repair will improve the availability of the platform. Repair of faults will also reduce the risk of accidents.Before you inspect the platform, place the platform on elevated supports in order to inspect the underside of the platform. You must make sure that the supports are stable. You must make sure that the work area is stable. Use chocks for the boom for the telehandler when you inspect the access platform.Note: Check that the elevated supports are adequate and rated for the weight of the platform. Do not allow the platform to tip during cleaning or during inspection. Do not allow the platform to sway or fall during cleaning or during inspection. Do not place any part of your body underneath the platform while the platform is attached to a machine. Proper care is your responsibility. Inspect the steel structures for deterioration. Inspect the harnesses and hoses for damage.Note: The following note is for the EAME THP24SII.In accordance with EN280, the load sensing system will disable the swivel of the Access Platform between a rated load of 250 kg (551 lb) and 300 kg (661 lb). If you perform this test for the Access Platform and the controls cut out below 250 kg (551 lb) please contact your dealer. If you perform this test for the Access Platform and the controls do not cut out below 300 kg (661 lb) please contact your dealer.Note: A load sensing test must be performed at every six months. The load test will determine whether the load sensing system is functioning correctly. National regulations will determine the frequency of load testing. The load sensing test must be carried out by an authorized person.
