Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1) and (3).
Remove fuel pressure sensor (2) and fuel pressure differential switch (4) from the fuel filter base.
Remove the O-ring seals from fuel pressure sensor (2) and fuel pressure differential switch (4). Installation Procedure

Install a new O-ring seal on fuel pressure sensor (2) and fuel pressure differential switch (4).
Install fuel pressure sensor (2) and tighten fuel pressure sensor (2) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in).
Install fuel pressure differential switch (4) and tighten fuel pressure differential switch (4) to a torque of 72 8 N m (53 6 lb ft).
Connect harness assemblies (1) and (3).
