An active grade sensor is required for this calibration.When you are preparing the machine for new milling, set the zero cut reference for any side that is using the automatic operating mode. The zero cut calibration function sets the zero cut reference value of the grade sensor to match the zero cut position of the machine. The procedure for setting the zero cut reference is listed below:
Select the manual operating mode by using the automatic/manual switch for the side that is being calibrated.
Select the grade control method by using the grade/slope switch for the side that is being calibrated.
Adjust the rotor to the zero cut position by using the front raise lower switch for the side that is being calibrated. The zero cut position is the point when the teeth of the rotor are barely hitting the surface.
Press and release the grade sensor calibration switch for the side that is being calibrated. Release the switch within one second.Note: When the new zero cut reference is saved, the grade offset value is automatically reset to zero. Note: When the new zero cut reference is saved, the grade setpoint is also saved as the same value.
