Removal Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Inspect all O-ring seals and replace as necessary

On sea-water cooled engines, remove pipe assembly (1).
If necessary, remove insulating tape from fuel line connections.

Disconnect hose assembly (7).
Disconnect fuel line assemblies (2), (5), and (6).
Remove bolt (3) and bracket (4) and the relief valve assembly .

Loosen nut (8) and (10) and remove swivel and line. Remove adapter (9) and remove relief valve (11). Installation Procedure
Position relief valve (11) with the arrow pointing upward for proper installation.
Install relief valve (11) in the reverse order of removal.
