If you need to install controller software and cannot connect via RS232 or because the connection is via RS484, then perform the following procedure.

Reconfigure the serial communications harness 391-6641 Harness as shown.
Launch the support tool.

Click the Install button. The screen above is displayed.
The current selected file and path is displayed immediately above the progress bar at the top of the window.

Follow the procedure presented in the information pane immediately beneath the progress bar. The procedure indicates to click the Install button. Ensure that you open the bootstrap switch when the install starts. Progress is shown in the window.
Allow the procedure to complete. When the process completes the support tool displays the Joystick Controller Menu. System Tune
The System Tune function requires that NO connection between the support tool and the controller be established prior to selecting this function. If a connection between the controller and the support tool has already been established the following message is displayed:

Connect the appropriate communication harness and any required adaptors between the laptop computer and J4 (for RS232) or J10 (for RS485) of the Joystick Control.
Power-up or cycle power on all controls.
Take controller in one of the joystick stations, make sure no faults are active.
Launch and log into the support tool.
Enter System Tune. Archive Files
Archive files are copies of a controller system's configuration files. Joystick Controller files use an "PCJ" extension and power train Controller files use a "PCP" extension. Archive files provide a backup of an existing configured controller and should be stored at C:\Three60\Apps for use in restoring the configuration in the event that an installed controller fails and must be replaced. The archive file for that system can then be verified and written directly to the replacement control. Ensure that you save each system's configuration file with a name that easily identifies the boat for modification, reference, or as a template for another boat's system.During Field Setup, configuration files are automatically saved and organized under the C:\Three60\Apps folder. Configuration files are automatically named #######_00.pcj, #######_00.pcp, and #######_01.pcp where:

00 and 01 denote the address of the controller.The files are saved in a folder named with the boat name entered during Field Setup under the \Apps folder.
