1. Disconnect wire harness (2) from speed sensor (1).2. Loosen the locknut, and remove speed sensor (1) from the cover. 3. Remove bolts (3) and (4), and remove bearing (9) from between transmission yoke (8) and drive shaft (10).4. Remove bolts (11), and remove drive shaft (10) from coupling assembly (5).5. Remove bolts (7), and remove cover (6) from the rear face of the block.6. Remove bolts (12), and remove coupling assembly (5) from the flywheel. The following steps are for installation of the drive shaft (engine to transmission).7. Put coupling assembly (5) in position on the flywheel, and install bolts (12).8. Put cover (6) in position on the rear face of the block, and install bolts (7).9. Position drive shaft (10) on the coupling assembly, and install bolts (11).10. Put bearing (9) in position between the drive shaft and the transmission yoke, and install bolts (3) and (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb ft).11. Install speed sensor (1) in the cover. Adjust the speed sensor so that the gap between the speed sensor and the flywheel is between 0.64 to 1.14 mm (.025 to .045 in). Tighten the locknut.12.
