Install pistons (17), retainer (15), and bolts (14) onto shaft assembly (16) .

Install shim (13) and spring (12) into barrel (11) .

Raise the temperature of the housing.
Lower the temperature of rotating group (10) .
Install rotating group (10) .

Install shim (9) and O-ring seal (8) .

Install cover (6) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (5) .
Use Tooling (B) in order to pull the rotating group against cover (6) .

Install O-ring seal (3) and port plate (4) .

Place the housing into a soft jawed vise. Install Tooling (E) onto the housing. Use Tooling (F) in order to measure the depth to the port plate. Take this measurement in more than one location. Tighten the bolt on Tooling (E). This will push the plate and the barrel downward. Continue downward until resistance is met. Do not use force. Again measure the depth to the plate. Record the difference between the two measurements. The distance should be 0.20 0.05 mm (0.008 0.002 inch). If the distance is not correct the shim needs to be corrected.
