Remove the water pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Water Pump - Remove".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Check the condition of all seals and of all components. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Remove O-ring seal (1) from pump housing assembly (2) .
Remove two bolts (3) that hold the thrust washer on the pump housing assembly (2) .

Remove O-ring seal (4) from cover (5) .
Remove three nuts (6) that hold cover (5) on the pump housing assembly (2) .

Remove O-ring seal (7) from cover (5) .

Remove the locknut and washer (8) that holds impeller (9) on the shaft assembly.

Use Tooling (A) to remove impeller (9) from shaft assembly (10) .

Remove spring (11) from shaft assembly (10) .

Use a soft hammer to drive shaft assembly (10) out of seal assembly (12) and pump housing assembly (2) .
Remove thrust washer (13) from shaft assembly (10) .

If necessary, use a seal pick to remove seal (14) from pump housing assembly (2) .Note: You will destroy seal (14) if you remove the seal. If the seal is damaged, use a new seal for replacement.
