Introduction
The problem that is identified below does have a permanent solution. Enabling ECM software is needed to correct the issue.Problem
When the machine ECM software is updated from 441-3086 to 441-6378, an error occurs. The error prevents the function of "Heavy Lift Mode" and "High Power Mode" cannot be set.Solution
There are three different situations that can occur:
Machines currently equipped with software 441-3086 from the factory will not experience this error. Do not update software to 441-6378 .
Machines currently equipped with software 441-6378 from the factory will not experience this error. Continue to use software 441-6378 .
Machines with software updated from 441-3086 to 441-6378 will experience this error. Refer to the rework procedure below.

Bring up the "Work Mode Configurations" screen. Select the "Hydraulic Power High Mode Selection Display Enable Status".

Select the "Enable" option from the "New Value" drop-down menu. When prompted select "Yes".

On the "Enter Factory Passwords" page, select the link at the bottom of the page.

Enter the passwords provided into the "Factory Password #1" line and "Factory Password #2" line. Select the "OK" button.

On the "Work Mode Configurations" screen, confirm the "Hydraulic Power High Mode Selection Display Enable Status" is set to "Enabled".
Power cycle the ECM by turning the key off to disconnect the battery. Turn the key back on.
Verify that the new configuration setting stayed during the ECM power cycle.

Use the soft keys to verify the power mode selection either properly cycles through the three power modes or is power locked in the desired setting (HP+ for example). If not, this can be changed through "Power Mode Setting" in the monitor. Refer to Illustration 7.

Confirm the machine is still in the desired power mode as signified by the proper icon next to the dial setting number in the monitor display. For example, "HP+" for High Power Mode, "Eco" for Eco Mode, and nothing for Standard Mode. If not, change the power mode to "HP+" either through the soft keys or the configuration menus. Refer to Illustration 8.
