Information:

1. Disconnect hose assembly (1). Remove bolts (3) and regulator housing assembly (2). 2. Remove four bolts (4) and cover (5). 3. Remove regulator (6). Use tooling (A) to remove seal from housing. The following steps are to install the water temperature regulator. Inspect gaskets before assembly and make replacements if worn or damaged.4. Install seal in housing with tooling (B) until seal is in the housing counterbore seat.
If the water temperature regulator is installed incorrectly, it will cause the engine to overheat.
5. Install regulator (6) as shown.6. Install the gasket, cover (5) and four bolts (4).8. Install regulator housing assembly (2), bolts (3) and hose assembly (1).
