With the engine at 25° BTC, ensure that the slots in the drive coupling are at the correct angle. Refer to Specifications, "Magneto Drive" for the correct angle.
Turn the magneto shaft until index mark (2) in timing window (5) is at CW.
Install the magneto onto the drive housing. Ensure that the tangs on coupler (6) engage correctly with the slots in the drive coupling.
Install the bolts and the washers in order to hold the magneto in position.
Check the timing at the No. 1 cylinder at rated speed. Rotate the magneto in order to adjust the timing.
Total ignition timing must be 25° BTC at rated speed.
