This recommendation is a change to the instructions in the current Lubrication and Maintenance Guides. Some Guides now say, "check" the adjustment "when required".
Change the Lubrication and Maintenance Guides. Add these instructions to the "Every 2000 Service Hours Or 1 Year" section. Adjust the final drive hub bearings.
If the bearings are not properly adjusted, dirt and water can enter at the final drive seals and cause destruction of the final drive."
Making the adjustment to the final drive hub bearings at the 2000 service hour intervals will improve the final drive service life. These new instructions are adaptable to all above models from first production.
