26. Remove two bolts (85), cover (84), spool (83) and spring (82) from valve body (76).27. Remove spool (87) and spring (86) from the valve body. 28. Use the following procedure to disassemble spool (83):a. Remove pin (88) from spool (83). Remove the ring from pin (88).b. Remove two spacers (91) from inside spool (83).c. Remove spiral snap ring (93), retainer (90), spring (92) and check (89) from spool (83). 29. Use the following procedure to disassemble spool (87):a. Remove snap ring (98) from spool (87).b. Remove seat (95), ball (96) and spring (94).c. Remove O-ring seal (97) from seat (95). 30. Remove dowel (100) and stop (99) from valve body (76).Assemble Transmission Hydraulic Control Valves
Clean all parts thoroughly, and put a thin coat of clean oil on them at assembly. 1. Position stop (99) in valve body (76). Align the holes in the stop and the valve body, and install dowel (100). Install the dowel until it is 4 mm (.16 in) below the surface of selector and pressure control valve body (76). 2. Install O-ring seal (97) on seat (95). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.3. Install spring (94), ball (96), seat (95) and snap ring (98) in spool (87). 4. Install check (89), spring (92), retainer (90) and spiral snap ring (93) in spool (83).5. Install the ring on pin (88). Install pin (88) in spool (83).6. Install two spacers (91) in spool (83). 7. Install spring (86) and spool (87) in valve body (76).8. Install spring (82), spool (83), cover (84) and two bolts (85) on valve body (76). 9. Install O-ring seal (79) on filter (78). Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.10. Install filter (78) in rotary spool (75). Tighten the filter to a torque of 6.1 0.7 N m (55 6 lb in).11. Install pin (81) in rotary spool (75).12. Position plug (77) in rotary spool (75). Align the holes in plug (77) and rotary spool (75), and install pin (80). Install the pin until it is 1.0 0.5 mm (.04 .02 in) below the surface of the rotary spool. 13. Install spring (74), piston (73) and rotary spool (75) in valve body (76). 14. Position plate (69) on manifold (72), and install five bolts (67). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft).15. Position selector and pressure control valve (49) on plate (69) and install thirteen bolts (66). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft).16. Install the O-ring seal on manifold (70). Position manifold (70) on selector and pressure control valve (49), and install three bolts (71). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb ft).17. Install the two O-ring seals on sleeve (68). Install sleeve (68) in manifold (70). Drive on stamped end of bearing (65) only.18. Install bearing (65) in actuator body (54). The bearing must
