Use Tooling (E) in order to remove rotating group (13) from housing (14) .

Note: Note the position of the barrel and piston assemblies for assembly purposes. The pistons must go back in the original bore in the barrel during assembly.
Remove Tool (B). Remove barrel (15) .

Remove spring (16) from barrel (15) .

Install the correct shim (17) that was determined in Steps 4.a through 4.l. Install spring (16) .

Note: Apply a clean hydraulic oil to the piston assemblies before installation. Install pistons into the original bores.
Install barrel (15) onto shaft assembly (21). Install Tool (B) in order to secure barrel (15) to the shaft assembly during the assembly procedure.

Heat the housing to a temperature of 135 °C (275 °F). Lower the temperature of shaft assembly (21). Lower shaft assembly (21) into housing (14) .

Install the correct amount of shims (10) that was determined in Step 2. Install O-ring seal (9) to housing (14) .

Use a soft faced hammer to install cover (8) to housing (14) .

Use Tool (D) in order to install retaining ring (7) to housing (14) .

Install Tooling (E) to housing (14). Use the Tooling to properly position the rotating group in the housing. Pull rotating group (13) until the rotating group is seated against the retaining ring. Remove Tooling (E) .

Install port plate (12) into housing (14) .

Install two relief valves (6) and the O-ring seals to head (5) .

Install head (5) and the O-ring seal to housing (14). Install six bolts (4). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 85 15 N m (63 11 lb ft).End By: Install the elevator motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vane Motor (Elevator) - Remove and Install".
