Interlock Strategy
When operating the machine you must perform one of the following actions within four seconds or the parking brake will engage, the implement and steering functions will neutralize and the engine will stop.
Apply the service brake
Maintain engine speed above 750 rpm
Maintain ground speed above 5 km/h (3.1 mph)When the machine is stationary you must perform one of the following actions within four seconds or the parking brake will engage, the implement and steering functions will neutralize and the engine will stop.

Engage the parking brakeNote: The interlock function engine stop can be configured using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) service tool. The engine will stop when ENABLED. The engine will not stop when DISABLED.Also, to operate the steering and implement functions with the parking brake engaged you must perform the following action.
Maintain engine speed above 1500 rpm.
