Introduction
Installation of the 6E5294 Implement Pump on the machine can help to reduce high pressure in the hydraulic system during low speed operation. With the new pump, a drain line is connected between the pump and hydraulic oil supply tank. This drain line helps to relieve system pressure build-up and extends the service life of pump seals.Parts Needed
Installation
1. Remove the original implement pump from the machine. Refer to your machine's Service Manual for pump removal procedure.2. Disconnect the fan pump drain line and its connecting fitting in the hydraulic oil supply tank. Install tee (2) in the tank where the fitting was just removed.3. Connect the fan pump drain line (disconnected in Step 2) to the straight connection of tee (2). The pump drain line should now be connected in the same position as it was originally. 4. Install elbow (3) with seal (6) in port (A) of implement pump (1).5. Remove the outlet manifold from the original implement pump. Install the outlet manifold on new implement pump (1).6. Install new implement pump (1) on the machine. Refer to your machine's Service Manual for the installation procedure. Make the necessary hydraulic oil line connections.7. Using one O-ring seal (4), connect the straight end of hose assembly (5) to elbow (3), in port (A) of new implement pump (1).Using one O-ring seal (4), connect the angle end of hose assembly (5) to tee (2), (installed in Step 2) in the bottom of the hydraulic oil supply tank.8. Make sure all hose connections are tight. Fill the hydraulic oil supply tank with the correct amount and type of hydraulic oil. Refer to your machine's Operation and Maintenance Manual for procedure.
