Installation Procedure

Attach a hoist and suitable lifting slings to front axle support (8), as shown.
Use the hoist to install front axle support (8). The weight of front axle support (8) is 386 kg (850 lb).
Install eight bolts (9). The torque for eight bolts (9) is 900 100 N m (664 74 lb ft).

Install bearing (7), retaining rings (6), and seals (5) into the front axle housing. Note: Seals (5) are oriented in the same direction. The lip of these seals should face toward the rear of the machine.

Attach a hoist and suitable lifting slings to trunnion (1), as shown.
Use the hoist to install trunnion (1). The weight of the trunnion is 82 kg (180 lb).
Install pin (2), spacer (4), and bolt (3). End By:
Install the front oscillating axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Front) - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
