The display window is blank.     User Interface module has locked up.     Call Caterpillar technical support in order to discuss possible maintenance actions.
The system will not restart after the Emergency Power Off switch has been pressed.     When the Emergency Power Off switch is pressed the Emergency Power Off Reset Circuit Breaker trips open.     Open the front door of the Controls cabinet and reset the small Emergency Power Off Reset Circuit Breaker for the Emergency Power Off switch.
Fan failure is displayed. Fans are equipped with tachometer feedback.     The outlet for the fan is defective.     Replace any fuses that are blown.
The vacuum increases during start-up of the system.     Thermal activity within the flywheel causes an increase in pressure. This causes the system to cycle on and off until the pressure for the vacuum equalizes.     This is a normal condition for initial start-up.
Tachometer reading is 0 or there is no perceptible change in rotor speed.     The flywheel is not charging.     Make sure that the key switch is in the "Online" position.
The display panel is beeping.     A UPS Notice or a Alarm has occurred.     Go to the Event Log in order to determine the type of Event that has occurred.
The system is regularly displaying Notices on the LCD Display.     The system is providing warning indications and may need attention or service.     Keep a record of frequent Notices. Contact Caterpillar technical support in order to discuss possible maintenance actions.
Notice Event:"System Waiting on Vacuum" The system loses some vacuum and the system temperature rises when the system first begins to run.     Systems that are cold started may have collected some moisture inside the flywheel housing. Systems that are cold started may have collected some moisture inside the flywheel housing. As the system heats up, the moisture will evaporate temporarily. This causes the vacuum pressure to increase.     This should go away once the system has been running for several hours.
Notice event: "Vacuum gauge warning: Over maximum value" or "System Waiting On Vacuum"     There are 3 possibilities. The vacuum pump has failed to start. The vacuum has not been maintained. The vacuum pump is not running correctly.     Make sure that the auxiliary AC power is provided to the system. Make sure that the vacuum valve that is located on the bottom of the flywheel housing is closed. Contact Caterpillar technical support if any problems (vacuum pump) continue.
Notice event: "Radial or axial bearing vibration warning: Over limit"     Something has caused excessive vibration to the system or the bearings may need service.     Make sure that the system was not damaged by any outside force. Make sure that the vibration is back in the normal range or check for additional vibration notices in the Event Log. Use the display terminal or UPS View in
