Make sure that the correct seal is installed on each end of the crankshaft.
Do not separate the wear sleeves from the crankshaft seals. Once the wear sleeves and crankshaft seals are separated, the crankshaft seals cannot be used.
1 1 438-3101 Crankshaft Seal Install in the front housing on a standard rotation engine.
Install in the flywheel housing on a reverse rotation engine.
2 1 438-3102 Crankshaft Seal Install in the flywheel housing on a standard rotation engine.
Install in the front housing on a reverse rotation engine.
A - - The crankshaft seal group is installed from both ends of the crankshaft at the distance 0.5 0.5 mm (0.02 0.02 inch).
Install the seals dry.
