Operator Instructions
To clear all productivity information displayed on the plan view and in the productivity dialogs, select the "Productivity" > "Reset" menu item. The software writes the data that was collected up until the point that the button/menu item to the productivity file was selected. No data is lost.Diagnostics
If the on-board software cannot send a productivity file immediately, the software attempts to transfer the file at the automatically scheduled 6 hour check.To ensure that all productivity files are sent to the office, the on-board software also checks for any unsent productivity files on startup as follows:
The on-board software checks directories other than the CAES/temp or the CAES/ftp directories when the operator restarts the system.
The software checks for lost files at 6 hour intervals after the restart time.Table 1 lists the messages that are associated with the given productivity file status.
Table 1
Productivity File Status / Message
When a lost productivity file is found, the following message appears in the "Basic Diagnostics" window:
“170 Lost productivity files found on the [display], re-sending to Office. ACTIVE”
When a lost productivity file is found, the software writes the following message to the DiagMsgLog file.
“Re-send Lost Files Info ->Found Prod25Mar2008_110007.prod”
When the lost productivity file is successfully sent to the office, the software writes the following message to the DiagMsgLog file:
“Re-send Lost Files Info ->File Prod25Mar2008_110007.prod sent”
If the lost productivity file cannot be sent to the office, the software writes the following message to the DiagMsgLog file:
“Re-send Lost Files Info -> Error sending Prod25Mar2008_110007.prod” Troubleshooting
The software writes "Volume" records at shutdown. Improper shutdowns can affect these Volume records. Use the following settings to minimize the loss of data during improper shutdowns:"Enable Timed Volume Recording - This setting enables the software to record Volume records to the productivity file at a set rate. At startup, the software writes a message to the DiagMsgLog file, similar to the following message, confirming that the setting has been enabled:“Inform, 13:23:09, 41095, Productivity Info ->Timed Volume Recording Enabled every 10 minutes”Go To: "Productivity Output" > "File Volume" > ""Enable Timed Volume Recording"Diag Include Message - Use this setting to instruct the on-board software to write a message to the DiagMsgLog file every time a productivity record is written. This setting includes a message in the log file regardless of the log level. The following is an example of a message that appears in the DiagMsgLog file:“Debug Level 2, 13:24:09, 41096, Productivity Debug -> Volume record written at t=1158629049”Go To: "Diagnostic Tools" > "Debug Options" > "Diag Include Message"Current Elevation Key Performance Indicator csv File
The CE KPI csv file is named the following and is stored in the CAES/temp folder:"~CEKPI_UTC_machineID.csv"The tasks or events that are recorded in the CE KPI csv file include the following:
An operator logs on.
The operator or the office changes which Elevation Design file is Prime.
The operator edits the design offset.
The operator requests a surface update.
The operator or the office resets the current elevation.The CE KPI csv file contains one or two lines per event. Each line contains the following
