Remove the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid

Care must be taken in order to ensure that fluids are contained during inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the machine. Refer to, NENG2500, "Tools And Shop Products Guide". Dispose of fluids according to local regulations.Note: Mark all lines, hoses, wires, and tubes for identification purposes. Plug all lines, hoses, and tubes in order to prevent foreign material from entering the system.Note: Drain all fluids into a suitable container for storage or disposal.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the fuel shutoff solenoid.

Remove the fuel shutoff solenoid from the governor. Use Tool (A) in order to remove the solenoid.
Remove the O-ring from the fuel shutoff solenoid.Install the Fuel Shutoff Solenoid
Check the condition of the O-ring seal on the fuel shutoff solenoid. If the seal is damaged or worn, replace the seal. Install the O-ring seal onto the fuel shutoff solenoid.

Install the fuel shutoff solenoid into the governor. Tighten the fuel shutoff solenoid to a torque of 30 5 N m (22.1 3.7 lb ft). Use Tool (A) and a suitable torque wrench in order to tighten the solenoid.
Connect the wiring harness to the fuel shutoff solenoid.
