At test port (8), install tool (B). Connect tooling (A) onto tool (B) .
Engage the parking brakes. While the engine is in NEUTRAL, start the engine and run the engine at LOW IDLE RPM. The pressure on the gauge must be less than the pressure at HIGH IDLE by at least 480 kPa (70 psi). Note: Ensure that load piston plug (4) is installed.
Run the engine at HIGH IDLE RPM in NEUTRAL. The pressure on the gauge must be 2550 70 kPa (370 10 psi) with the selection lever in any FORWARD speed.
When this test is complete, stop the engine and remove the test equipment.Results

( 1 ) Before an Adjustment is made, make sure that the valve spring is not weak or broken.If the oil pressure is too low, then the transmission oil pump may have failed. Also, the setting of relief valve may be too low. Add spacers. Refer to Table 2. Adjust for LOW IDLE setting.
