Hydraulic Activation Control
Hydraulic Functions Locked - Move all controls except the blade control to the HOLD position. Move the lever back to the locked position.
To start the engine, be sure to put the hydraulic activation control lever in the LOCKED position. If the lever is in the UNLOCKED position, the engine start switch will not function. Only the blade control cannot be locked by the hydraulic activation control lever.
Hydraulic Functions Unlocked - Move the lever forward to the unlocked position.Swing and Stick Control
The following hydraulic control levers can be changed to one other pattern by reconnecting the control hoses. See your Caterpillar dealer for the procedure. Stick Out (1) - Move the lever forward to move the stick out. Swing Right (2) - Move the lever to the right to swing the upper structure to the right. Stick In (3) - Move the lever to the rear to move the stick in. Swing Left (4) - Move the lever to the left to swing the upper structure to the left. Hold (5) - When the lever is released from any position, the lever will return to HOLD. Stick and swing movement should stop.Stick and swing functions may be performed at the same time. For example, to move the stick out and swing right at the same time, move the lever forward and to the right.Bucket and Boom Control
Boom Lower (1) - Move the lever forward to lower the boom. Bucket Dump (2) - Move the lever to the right to dump the bucket. Boom Raise (3) - Move the lever back to raise the boom. Bucket Close (4) - Move the lever to the left to close the bucket. Hold (5) - When released from any position, the lever will return to HOLD. Boom and bucket movement should stop.Bucket and boom functions can be performed at the same time. For example, to lower the boom and dump the bucket at the same time, move the lever forward and to the right.Hydraulic Hammer and Boom Control (If Equipped)
Boom Lower (1) - Push the lever forward to lower the boom. Hydraulic Hammer Raise (2) - Move the right lever to the right to raise the hammer. Boom Raise (3) - Pull the right lever back to raise the boom. Hydraulic Hammer Lower (4) - Move the right lever to the left to lower the hammer. Hold (5) - When released from any position, the lever will return to hold.Hydraulic Hammer Stick and Swing Control
The hydraulic controls for the hydraulic hammer stick and swing control operate the same as swing and stick control. Hammer ON - Push down on the pedal to activate the hammer. Hammer OFF - Release the pedal to deactivate the hammer. Be sure to lock the hammer control when no hammer operation is needed.Blade Control (If Equipped)
Float (1) - Push the lever all the way forward into detent, for FLOAT.The lever will remain in FLOAT until pulled out of detent. The lever will then return to HOLD
