start by:a) remove bottom guards1. Drain the oil from the engine. The engine oil system capacity is approximately 45 liter (12 U.S. gal.).2. Disconnect oil level gauge tube (1) at the oil pan. 3. Disconnect oil fill tube (2) at the oil pan. 4. Remove oil cooler return line (4) and elbow (3). 5. Remove bolts and nuts (5) which hold the two sections of the oil pan together. 6. Support oil pan (6) with blocks and tool (A). 7. Remove the bolts that hold oil pan (6) to the engine and lower oil pan (6) from the engine. The weight of the oil pan front section (6) is 18 kg (40 lb.).8. Remove small oil pan (7). 9. Remove bracket (8). 10. Disconnect oil scavenge line (9) from the oil pump. 11. Remove bolts (10) which hold the oil pan rear section to the engine and remove scavenge line (9). 12. Remove bolt and nut (13). 13. Remove tube assemblies (11), (12) and (14).14. Remove suction bell (15).15. Remove oil pan rear section (16). Install Oil Pan
1. Remove the four eyelets from the new oil pan gasket and put the gasket in position.2. Put oil pan rear section (1) on the equalizer bar but do not install the bolts. 3. Install tube assemblies (2), (3) and (5). 4. Install suction bell (4) and connect the support to tube assembly (3).5. Make sure the O-ring seal is installed on the end of tube assembly (7). 6. Put clean engine oil on the seal and install tube assembly (7) into oil pump (6).7. Install the bolts that hold oil pan (1) to the engine. 8. Install bracket (8) on oil pan (1).9. Connect the clamp on scavenge tube (7) to bracket (8).10. Use a new gasket and install small oil pan (9). 11. Install a new gasket between the rear and front oil pans. The top of the gasket must be even with the finished surfaces of the oil pans. Cut the excess material from the new gasket.12. Use tool (A) and wooden blocks to install oil pan front section (10). Install the bolts finger tight. 13. Install bolts (11) which hold the two sections of the oil pan together. 14. Tighten the bolts which hold oil pan front section to the engine.15. Make sure the O-ring seal is installed on elbow (12) and tube assembly (13). Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals.16. Install the gasket and elbow (12). 17. Connect the flange on tube assembly (13) to the oil cooler.18. Install bolts (14) and retainer (15). 19. Connect oil level gauge (16) to the oil pan. 20. Connect the oil fill tube to the oil pan.21.
