Hydraulic Tank Breather.
Wash breather
Pressure air can cause personal injury.When using pressure air for cleaning, wear a protective face shield, protective clothing and protective shoes.The maximum air pressure must be below 205 kPa (30 psi) for cleaning purposes.Use all cleaning solutions with care.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.
1. Remove breather assembly.2. Wash breather in clean, nonflammable solvent. 3. Using an air line blow air into the breather. Air should blow through breather.4. If breather is restricted it must be replaced.5. Install clean breather assembly.Air Cleaner
Clean element with air.
1. Remove the cup assembly and baffle assembly. 2. Remove the wing nut and slide the filter assembly out. 3. Clean the inside of the air cleaner housing with a clean cloth.
Do not clean the filter elements by bumping or tapping them.Inspect the filter elements after cleaning. Do not use a filter element with damaged pleats, gaskets or seals.When cleaning with pressure air, use 205 kPa (30 psi) maximum pressure to prevent filter element damage.
4. Direct air along pleats inside and outside of filter element. Direct air along pleats inside of filter element.5. Inspect the filter element after cleaning.Inspect the Filter Element 6. Insert a light inside a dry and cleaned filter element. Discard any filter element with rips or tears. 7. Place element in air cleaner and secure with wing nut. 8. Replace the cup assembly and baffle assembly.Water Separator
Change element.
Where combustible materials or explosive atmospheres exist; never light matches, smoke, create sparks, or use open flames. Personal injury or death may result from explosion or fire.
1. Open the drain petcock on the side of the water separator and allow fuel to drain from separator. 2. Release the filter clamp spring by pushing on outer finger tab while pulling back on the inner finger tab.3. Remove the spring clamp. 4. Remove element and replace with new element.5. Change element.
1. Remove the drain plug located in the bottom of the fuel filter and allow fuel to drain.2. Clean outside of filter element. 3. Loosen setscrew in center of filter cover. 4. Remove filter and bottom cover.5. Remove the element and discard.6. Clean top and bottom filter covers.7. Inspect filter gaskets and replace if necessary. 8. Replace base on element. 9. Place base and element against filter cover, center setscrew and tighten.10. After replacing fuel filter elements, always vent the fuel system.Engine crankcase
Changing the engine oil and filter.
For best results the engine should be warmed up before the oil is changed.
1. Shut off engine and drain engine oil by removing oil drain plug.
If the gasket on the oil drain plug is not made of brass or other metal, the gasket should be replaced before installing the oil drain plug.
2. After crankcase oil has drained, install and tighten oil drain plug. 3. Remove oil filler cap and refill engine crankcase with new oil. 4. Remove and discard old engine oil filter. 5. Lubricate gasket on new oil filter. 6. Attach
