Prior to the installation of the swing motor, make sure that the mating surfaces of the swing motor and the swing drive are thoroughly clean and dry. Note: Check the condition of the O-ring seal that is used between the swing motor and the swing drive. If the O-ring seal is damaged, use a new part for replacement.
Install the O-ring seal on the swing motor. Put clean oil on the O-ring seal.

Fasten Tool (A) and a hoist to swing motor (3). Place the swing motor in the swing motor's original position on the swing drive. Install four socket head bolts (4) that secure the swing motor. Tighten the socket head bolts to a torque of 430 43 N m (315 32 lb ft).

Remove the plugs from the ends of five hose assemblies (1). Check the condition of the O-ring seals that are used in the ends of five hose assemblies (1) prior to installation. If any of the O-ring seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Connect five hose assemblies (1) to the swing motor in the hose assembly's original locations. Tighten the two hose assemblies that connect to the anti-reaction valve to a torque of 150 15 N m (110 11 lb ft). Tighten the makeup hose assembly that connects to the top center of the swing motor to a torque of 190 20 N m (140 15 lb ft).
Connect electrical connector (2).
To avoid system damage, make sure that the hydraulic motor is properly filled with hydraulic oil before start-up.
Fill the hydraulic oil tank and the swing drive with oil to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Lubricant Viscosities" for the proper oil viscosity. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" and Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Swing Drive Oil Level - Check" for the correct filling procedures.
Start the engine, and check the operation of the swing drive. Also, check for leaks. Stop the engine.
Install the cover assembly over the swing motor.
