Cylinder head gasket (1) Dowel pinsThe dowel pins in the cylinder block hold the cylinder head gasket in the correct position when the cylinder head is installed. (2) "Front" is stamped on the gasket in order to ensure the correct alignment of the gasket on the cylinder head.
