1. Remove the bolts and retainers (1) from front roller frame (2).2. Remove cylinder (3) from the front roller frame. 3. Remove bolts (4) and plate assembly (5). 4. Remove O-ring seal (7), valve (6) and valve (8) from cylinder (3). 5. Remove plug (9) from cylinder (3). Remove the O-ring seal from the plug. 6. Remove piston (11). Note the position of the flat surface (X) for assembly purposes.7. Remove seal assembly (10) from cylinder (3). The following steps are for installation of the track adjusters.8. Install seal assembly (10) in cylinder (3). Install the seal assembly with the lip toward the inside of the cylinder as shown.9. Align the flat surface (X) on piston (11) with the ports for valves (6) and (8), and install piston (11) in cylinder (3). Install the piston until surface (X) is past the lip of seal assembly (10).10. Install the O-ring seal on plug (9). Install the plug in the cylinder. Tighten the plug to a torque of 300 40 N m (220 30 lb ft).11. Install valves (6) and (8). Put O-ring seal (7) in position on cylinder (3).12. Put plate assembly (5) in position on the cylinder, and install two bolts (4).13. Use the following procedure to evacuate all of the air from the track adjuster:a. Fill the track adjuster with SAE 30W oil.b. Position the track adjuster on the floor with piston (11) down.c. Open valves (6) and (8). Push cylinder (3) down on the piston until all of the air is removed from the track adjuster.d. Close valves (6) and (8). Tighten the valves to a torque of 35 7 N m (26 5 lb ft).14. Install cylinder (3) in the front track roller frame as shown. Put retainers (1) in position, and install the bolts that hold them.End By:a. install front track roller frames
