Remove the crankshaft rear seal.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Install Tool (A) in the rear of the crankshaft.
Remove the four bolts (3) that hold the adapter (2) and the gear (1) in place.
Remove the adapter (2) and gear (1) from the crankshaft.
Remove the O-ring seals from the gear (1). Installation Procedure

Install the O-ring seals on each side of the gear (1).
Align the four unevenly spaced holes in the gear (1) with the four threaded holes in the crankshaft. Install gear (1) on Tool (A) with the gear teeth away from the crankshaft.
Align the four unevenly spaced holes in the adapter (2) with the holes in the gear (1). Install the adapter.
Install the bolts (3). End By:
Install the crankshaft rear seal.
