(1) Implement function select switch. (2) Control lever. (3) Hydraulic lever lock.The implement controls are located on the right side of the operator's station. The controls consist of implement function select switch (1), control lever (2) and hydraulic lever lock (3). Pushing the control lever forward will cause the blade to lower. If you push control lever (2) all the way forward, the lever will be held by the detent. The blade will continue to lower until the kickout position is reached. The control lever will then return to the HOLD position. The blade will follow the contour of the ground.Pushing control lever (2) backward will cause the blade to raise. When you release the control lever, the lever will return to the HOLD position.On the 824G Wheel Loader and the 825G Soil Compactor, switch (1) can be pressed forward in order to actuate the tilt function. When switch (1) is in this position, the blade will tilt to the left when control lever (2) is pushed to the left. The blade will tilt to the right when control lever (2) is pushed to the right. The control lever will return to the HOLD position when the lever is released.On the 824G Wheel Loader, implement function select switch (1) can be pressed backward.If you push control lever (2) to the left the top of the blade will tip back. When you release the control lever, the lever will return to the HOLD position.If you push the control lever to the right the top of the blade will tip forward. When you release control lever (2) the lever will return to the HOLD position.Pressing forward on lock (3) electronically locks the implement controls. No signal is sent to the electronic control module when lock (3) is in this position. Control lever (2) will be disabled. Press the back of the lock (3) in order to resume use of the control lever.Electronic Communication between Control Lever and Pilot System
As control lever (2) is moved, an electronic signal is sent from the position sensor for the implement control lever to the ECM (electronic control module). The position sensors are located just below the control lever. The ECM is located on the rear right side of the operator compartment.The position sensors send information to the ECM. The sensors continuously communicate the position of the implement lever to the ECM. A lever position sensor tells the ECM that the position of the lever has changed when the operator moves control lever (2). The ECM sends a signal that activates the appropriate solenoid valve in the pilot valve (oil manifold). The signal regulates the amount of flow of pilot oil through the proportional solenoid valve.The electronic signal is evaluated by the ECM and an output signal is then sent to the proper pilot valve.The pilot valves control the pilot hydraulic oil.
