This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS8458" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the October 25, 1995 Service Letter. A change has been made to the Termination Date.

The bucket cylinder to stick pin may crack at the bottom of the puller hole and radiate to the outside surface on certain 350 Excavators.

Inspect the 4I4979 Bucket Cylinder to stick pin puller hole for a flat bottom. If the puller hole is flat bottomed, replace the pin with a new 4I4979 Pin. The new pin should have a puller hole with a round bottom.
Scrap any 4I4979 Pin that has a puller hole with a flat bottom.

This is a 1-hour job to inspect and 2-hour job to inspect and perform the rework procedure.
