Remove the tire and rim assembly.

Loosen bolts (2) that hold pins (1). Note: There are bolts (2) and pins (1) that are located at the bottom of the service brake. It is not necessary to remove the lower bolts and the pins in order to remove the brake linings. For the installation, the lower bolts and the pins must be checked for pin clearance on the disc.

Position Tooling (A) against the disc and pin (1). Pry pins (1) out until brake lining assemblies (3) can be removed from service brake (4).

Remove brake lining assemblies (3) from service brake (4). Installation Procedure
Note: The front tire and the rim have been removed for photographic reasons.
Verify that all of the components of the brake lining are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.
Inspect all components for wear and replace the components, if necessary.

Position brake lining assemblies (3) in service brake (4), as shown.

Push pins (1) into brake lining assemblies (3).
Measure the distance between pins (1) and the disc with a feeler gauge. Move pins (1) so the distance is 1.5 0.5 mm (0.06 0.02 inch). Tighten two bolts (2) to a torque of 48 4 N m (35 3 lb ft).
Repeat Step 5 for the remaining two pins and the two bolts that are located at the bottom of the hydraulic caliper service brake. End By:
Install the tire and rim assembly.
