Auxiliary Control Levers No. 6 and No. 7.
The Implement ECM can be configured to allow any one auxiliary control lever to control any one hydraulic valve installed on the machine.The different combinations of auxiliary hydraulic control levers that can be installed in the system are:
Stand-alone thumb rocker lever no. 7
Stand-alone thumb rocker levers no. 6 and no. 7
Auxiliary control pod (with or without the mini joystick)
Auxiliary control pod (with or without the mini joystick), and the Stand-alone thumb rocker lever no. 7
Advanced Control Joystick (ACJ) thumb rockers when configured for auxiliary hydraulic control Lever 8 (LH) and Lever 9 (RH).

When the machine is shipped from the factory with an attachment implement installed, the implement is assigned to a factory default auxiliary control lever. The following table lists the default control lever assignments for factory installed attachments.

Configuring the auxiliary hydraulic system: Enables assignment of any one auxiliary control lever installed on the machine to control any one hydraulic valve installed on the machine.Note: Auxiliary hydraulic valve 7 is controlled by ON/OFF solenoids. All of the other auxiliary hydraulic valves are controlled by proportional solenoids. The following steps illustrate the procedure for assigning a specific auxiliary control lever to control a specific auxiliary hydraulic valve. In this example procedure, the auxiliary "control pod lever 2" will be configured to control the "auxiliary hydraulic valve 1".
Connect the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) service tool to the machine service connector. Turn the disconnect switch and the key start switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
Establish the Cat ET connection. Select the "Implement " ECM for your model machine.

From the "Service" menu, select "Configuration".

From the "Configuration" menu, select "Accugrade" and verify the "Auxiliary Control Pod Enable Status" is "Enabled". If the "Auxiliary Control Pod Enable status" is not "Enabled", change the status to "Enabled".

From the "Configuration" menu, select "Implement Parameters". Select the auxiliary valve that will be assigned to the different control lever by either "double clicking" on the valve row, or by selecting the valve row and then selecting "Change".
