2. Remove nut (1) from transmission input shaft (2).3. Slide companion flange (3) and sheave (4) off the input shaft.4. Position the replacement companion flange and sheave on the input shaft.5. Install the nut on the input shaft and, depending upon the type of nut, tighten the nut as follows: a. Slotted nut - 340 to 410 N m (250 to 300 lb ft).b. Elastic - 545 to 615 N m (400 to 450 lb ft).6. Install the belts on the sheave.7. Loosen the pump adjusting nut and move the lubricant circulating pump away from the drive sheave to tighten the belt. The belt is properly tensioned when a 1 to 1.6 kg (2.5 to 3.5 lb) force applied midway between the sheaves results in a belt deflection of 4mm (.16 in).8. Tighten the pump adjusting nut.End By:a.
