Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Fan Drive) - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Remove nut (1) and washer (2) .

Support the pump during the removal of gear (3). Use a suitable press and Tooling (A) in order to remove gear (3) .

Remove O-ring seal (4) .
Remove woodruff key (5) .

Remove end cover (6) from housing (8) .
